DANZAREA is the social program of Fundacion Gramo Danse, aimed at children and young people residing in areas of social risk (Chorrillo, Curundu, Santa Ana, Parque Lefevre and Panama Viejo). Our team is made up of directors and teachers who use dance as a tool for social change, developing in our children, leadership skills, conflict resolution, values, trust, creativity, and self-esteem; respect for their peers, teachers, and institutions. Although we have been the home where some young people have found a passion for dance, our main goal in DANZAREA is to provide them with a safe place of growth and development. We are training, through dance, critical individuals and consumers of culture, which not only translates into personal growth, but also makes them catalysts for knowledge transfer within their communities.
